MFA candidate and game design faculty Greg Grimsby exhibits his thesis work at the School of Art. The show, titled Shelf Life, features his oil paintings and ink drawings. His work is inspired by the illustrations of Audubon, 17th century cabinets of curiosity, and the research of biologist Dr. Gabriel Fain. Grimsby depicts biodiversity, mixing a marvelous menagerie of the obscure and the unreal. Through his realistic art, Grimsby creates a world of curiosities that explore Faith, science, authenticity, and game theory.
